Accordia Bank began in 1993 in Orem, Utah, and has grown from a single local office into a broader Utah branch network. Its locations now include Orem, Provo, Pleasant Grove, Salem, Sandy, St. George, and Spanish Fork, showing a growth path that has remained focused within Utah rather than outside the state.

Its expansion has also gone beyond physical branches. Limelight Bank, the bank’s online division, reflects its move into digital banking through an online-only brand focused on certificates of deposit (CDs). That gives the institution a broader reach on the deposit side while keeping its branch network centered in Utah.

In 2024, the bank acquired Security Home Mortgage, strengthening its home-lending capabilities. In 2025, it announced a new full-service branch in Spanish Fork and plans for a future flagship branch in Orem that will replace the existing Orem location.

In August 2026, CCBank became Accordia Bank, while Security Home Mortgage became Accordia Mortgage. The rebrand brought the bank and mortgage businesses under a shared Accordia identity as the organization continued to grow.

Together, these developments show that Accordia Bank has expanded through branches, digital deposits, and mortgage lending while keeping its footprint centered in Utah.

This week’s roundup covers several notable developments across Utah’s banking and fintech sectors:

CCBank completed its transition to Accordia Bank,

Columbia Bank continued expanding its Wasatch Front presence with a new Draper location

Lehi-based Weave agreed to a $650 million acquisition by Francisco Partners.

The bank’s mortgage subsidiary, Security Home Mortgage, also became Accordia Mortgage as the two businesses moved under the same brand.

The change is a rebrand rather than a sale, merger, or acquisition. Accordia says customers’ account numbers, routing numbers, cards, checks, online banking credentials, and automatic payments remain unchanged. The bank also continues under the same leadership and local ownership.

Accordia Bank maintains banking locations in Orem, Pleasant Grove, Provo, Salem, Sandy, Spanish Fork, and St. George, along with its corporate office in Pleasant Grove.

The new location occupies approximately 14,000 square feet in Draper’s Minuteman Office Plaza and combines commercial and retail banking services. Columbia moved its former South Jordan branch to the expanded Draper location.

Draper is the first of three new Columbia Bank locations planned for the Salt Lake City metropolitan area in 2026. The bank says additional locations in Pleasant Grove and the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City are expected to follow.

Columbia entered the Utah market in 2022 as Umpqua Bank, initially establishing a commercial banking team in the state. Following Umpqua’s merger with Columbia Banking System and the transition to the Columbia Bank brand, the institution has continued building its Utah presence, including adding a Salt Lake City-based commercial real estate group. The planned locations will expand access to consumer banking, commercial lending, treasury management, wealth management, healthcare banking, and other services.

Lehi-Based Weave Agrees to $650 Million Acquisition

Lehi-based Weave Communications announced on August 18 that it has agreed to be acquired by Francisco Partners in an all-cash transaction with an aggregate equity valuation of approximately $650 million.

Under the agreement, Weave stockholders will receive $7.40 per share in cash, representing an approximately 34% premium to the company’s closing stock price on August 17.

Weave provides an AI-powered patient engagement and payments platform designed for healthcare practices. The company says its technology is used by more than 40,000 locations.

After the transaction is completed, Weave will become a privately held company and its shares will no longer trade on the New York Stock Exchange. Importantly for Utah’s technology sector, Weave plans to retain its headquarters in Lehi and continue operating under the Weave name.

The companies said the transaction is expected to support additional investment in Weave’s artificial intelligence platform, payments capabilities, and revenue-cycle management products.
